Cielito Nuestro, 1999
Cielito Nuestro (1999) is a piece framed in the search for the representation of eroticism in a digital aesthetic. The representation of the body is featured by artificiality, idealization and scant realism, that stems from the resources employed: generic models and the intention of plasticity and subjectivity within the standards of 3D modelling tools. Cielito nuestro (from the Tango Fractal series) deploys a field of relationships among the bodies, among the textures and the color palette, aimed at the artist’s perception of tango and cultural identity, it refers to plenty of films, the neighborhood of La Boca, literature and symbols of the city.
